We might engage third-party firms and individuals for these purposes:
We wish to notify our Service users that these third parties have access to your Personal Information. This access is granted solely to carry out the tasks assigned to them on our behalf. If, as a parent or guardian, you discover that your child has provided us with personal information, please notify us so we can take the required steps.
The California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA) grants consumers more control over the personal information that businesses collect about them, and its regulations offer guidance on how to implement the law. Residents of California are granted supplementary privacy rights, such as:
The CCPA does not apply to you if you are not a California resident, and you are not granted these rights. A California resident is defined as a natural person (as opposed to a corporation or other business entity) who resides in California, even if the person is temporarily outside of the state.
Under the CCPA, Personal Information is defined as information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked with you or your household. For instance, it could include your name, social security number, email address, records of products purchased, internet browsing history, geolocation data, fingerprints, and inferences drawn from other personal data that might create a profile about your preferences and characteristics.
Personal Information does NOT include publicly available information that is from federal, state, or local government records, such as professional licenses and public real estate/property records.
B. REQUESTS TO OPT-OUT OF PERSONAL INFORMATION SALE (RIGHT TO OPT-OUT)
You can request that Sarcuz cease selling your personal information (“opt-out”). Subject to certain exceptions, Sarcuz is prohibited from selling your personal information after they receive your opt-out request unless you subsequently provide authorization allowing them to do so again. Sarcuz is required to wait a minimum of 12 months before asking you to opt back into the sale of your personal information. To “opt-out,” please contact the website Administrator through the official Sarcuz support channel on Discord.
C. REQUESTS FOR PERSONAL INFORMATION (RIGHT TO KNOW)
You can ask Sarcuz to disclose what personal information they have collected, used, shared, or sold about you, and why they collected, used, shared, or sold that information. Specifically, you can request that Sarcuz reveal:
Sarcuz is required to provide this information covering the 12-month period prior to your request. They must provide this information to you free of charge.
You may submit your requests via the Discord Support Chat, or via message to the official Sarcuz email address (business@sarcuz.com). We are obligated to respond to your request within 45 calendar days. This deadline may be extended by another 45 days (90 days total) if we notify you.
Sarcuz is required to verify that the person making a request to know is the consumer about whom the business has personal information. Sarcuz might need to request additional information from you for verification purposes. If we ask for personal information to verify your identity, it will be used exclusively for this verification purpose.
D. REQUIRED NOTICES
The CCPA mandates that Sarcuz provide consumers with certain information in a “notice at collection.” A notice at collection must itemize the categories of personal information Sarcuz gathers about consumers and the purposes for which they use those categories of information. Sarcuz does not, and will not, sell consumer information to third-party entities.
E. REQUESTS TO DELETE PERSONAL INFORMATION (RIGHT TO DELETE)
You can request that Sarcuz erase personal information they collected from you and to instruct their service providers to do likewise. However, there are many exceptions that permit Sarcuz to retain your personal information. You can submit requests through the official Sarcuz support channel on Discord. These requests will be processed and finalized within 45 days of the original request, and with notification to the requester, this period may be extended by an additional 45 days.
F. RIGHT TO NON-DISCRIMINATION
Sarcuz is prohibited from denying you goods or services, charging you a different price, or providing a different level or quality of goods or services simply because you asserted your rights under the CCPA.
Nonetheless, if you decline to provide personal information to Sarcuz or request its deletion or an end to its sale, and that personal information or sale is essential for Sarcuz to deliver goods or services to you, Sarcuz might be unable to fulfill that transaction.
Sarcuz may also provide promotions, discounts, and other deals in return for the collection, retention, or sale of your personal information. But they can only do this if the offered financial incentive is reasonably proportionate to the value of your personal information. If you instruct Sarcuz to delete or stop selling your personal information, your ability to continue participating in the special deals they offer in exchange for personal information may be affected. If you are not sure how your request may affect your participation in a special offer, please ask Sarcuz.
